Falco Image Studio is an easy-to-use yet powerful image editor and a good replacement for Window’s default MSPaint.
The program was designed for those who are novices in the image editing. Its basic editing tools - like pencil, brushes, color picker, gradient tools, and different types of selection tools - make editing easy, just like it is with MS Paint. However, the Stamp tool and its support for multiple layers make this program a professional-class image editor, too. More than 30 special effects and filters (including gray scale, noise reduction, blur, sharpen and color replacer) can enhance your images with the same level of quality the popular Adobe Photoshop provides. Its built-in image converter, and the program’s printing and TWAIN support give you everything you need to play with your camera and photos. The program enables you to work with almost all popular image formats, including JPG, GIF, PNG, and BMP.
Shortly, Falco Image Studio is a true gem with “enough” features and a very compact size. It may not be as flexible as Adobe’s and Picasa’s products, but it is still a good alternative, mainly because of its ease of use and its many cool features. |
